Find out everything you need to know about our 5G network offering – and what makes it such an unmissable leap into the future...
5G in more places
Whether you’re relaxing at home or travelling for work or pleasure, Vodafone consumer and business customers can now get 5G roaming in 62 cities and towns across Europe including 15 in the UK – that’s more than any other network.
Vodafone 5G is now live across four countries – Spain, Germany, Italy and the UK – and you can enjoy faster and more reliable roaming at no additional cost, making Vodafone the perfect choice for your summer holidays or work trip.
Pricing that works
Our 5G plans will cost the same as our 4G ones, because we don’t think you should have to pay extra to access our next generation network.
Taking price hikes out of the picture frees us up to spend more time helping you choose the right device for you. We’ll ensure we discuss the benefits of 5G and how to best to use them to suit your lifestyle. For example – are you a gamer or do you love to stream your favourite content on your commute? Do you upload or download a lot of content for work? Whatever your needs are, we will help to find the right plan for you.
But what if 5G isn’t on your doorstep just yet? No problem – we’re offering a customer-centric pricing approach as the network rolls out. This means that you won’t have to figure out how often you will be somewhere with 5G coverage; you’ll just reap the benefits as soon as you are in that area.
The right 5G devices
When it comes to phones, we know it’s not necessarily about having the most 5G phones to choose from; it’s about having the right ones.
That’s why we’ve put all the 5G phones currently available through their paces and have chosen the very best for our line-up: Xiaomi Mi Mix 3, Huawei Mate 20X (5G), the Samsung Galaxy Note10+ 5G, and the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G.
Exclusive to Vodafone, the Mi Mix 3 is a beautiful, budget-friendly all-screen smartphone with a cunning trick up its sleeve – the dual 24-Megapixel selfie cameras actually slide up from behind the display, and hide when not in use.
The Mate 20 X 5G is Huawei’s first ever 5G device, boasting incredible performance and a stunning 7.2-inch ultra large OLED dewdrop display, offering a truly immersive experience.
The Galaxy S10 5G, meanwhile, represents the very best in modern smartphone technology – from blazingly fast performance to industry leading camera tech – now with the added benefit of 5G connectivity.
Finally, the Samsung Galaxy Note10+ 5G comes equipped with a vast 6.8” Infinity-O Display, and is bursting with incredible features, from the innovative S Pen to an on-the-go editing suite. The Samsung Galaxy Note10+ 5G packs all the power of a Note into the palm of your hand,
All are hugely impressive phones in their own right – with each using 5G-capable chipsets, allowing for utterly seamless streaming, downloading and online gaming. Pricing for our 5G devices will start from £48 per month.
The best entertainment on the go
Our unique Red Entertainment plans offer game-changing entertainment on the go from the biggest names in streaming.
With us, you’ll get the choice of Spotify Premium, Amazon Prime Video, Sky Sports Mobile TV or a NOW TV Entertainment Pass at no extra cost for the life of your contract. The best bit? This content only gets better over 5G, with faster downloads and even more reliable streaming – great for livening up your commute.
We’ve also announced an exclusive partnership with gaming streaming service Hatch for all our 4G and 5G customers. Hatch Premium offers three months free access to over 100 premium mobile games, including the ever popular Angry Birds and the exclusive Hatch Original Arkanoid Rising. This is the world’s first cloud-based mobile gaming platform built for the 5G network, and we’re delighted to be able to offer it exclusively to customers. We’ve also announced the world’s first gaming competition over 5G in Milan, with ESL Sports League.
Staying one step ahead
5G is a journey – one that we’ll all embark upon together. At Vodafone, consumers and businesses will start that journey at the same time.
That’s because we believe that 5G will make a real and positive difference to everyone. The UK was the 53rd country to launch 4G but Vodafone is one of the operators making sure that the UK will be one of the first countries in the world to deploy 5G. We’re also launching 5G in more countries than anyone else, and in doing so we will learn more about how to harness this incredible technology, and use these learnings to deploy the best 5G solutions for the UK.
We can’t predict every new use case or amazing new opportunity that 5G will bring, but here’s what we do know: anyone who joins our 5G service in the UK will never want to go back. There are lots of really compelling reasons to move to 5G in the short term – particularly with the wealth of awesome entertainment options we can offer on the go – but in the long term? There will be thousands. The future is exciting. Ready?
