With only one more day to go until Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal wedding, we wanted to know how the nation would be celebrating? We asked, you answered: Let's find out!

If you somehow aren’t already aware, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will each say “I do” this Saturday, in front of a small, intimate crowd – watched by millions – at the gorgeous Windsor Castle. Then it’s on to not one, but two wedding receptions!

While we probably won’t be privy to those royal postnuptial celebrations, many across our fine nation will be having their own shindigs to celebrate this special day with party decorations, drinks, food, and music.

In fact, we’ve already been helping people get ready for this wonderful occasion by surprising well-wishers with some #VodafoneTreats, which include British bunting, a bottle of Prosecco, some tea, and a Bluetooth speaker. Check them out:

But how exactly do you celebrate a royal wedding in your own community? We took to Twitter and opened the polls to find out…

Chin-chin!

When raising a toast at a wedding, most people typically go for the bubbly. But for this royal occasion, will people still want the fizz?

Nope. Turns out that to celebrate this special day 33% of people will be filling a pot and getting a brew on. We wonder if that’ll be Earl Grey or the standard breakfast tea?

Get those taste buds going

You can’t have a party without food, and boy do we love party food. So, what will you be packing in your picnic hamper this Saturday?

Beating Scotch eggs and cucumber sandwiches to the top spot is the humble sausage roll – with 53 % of the votes. You can’t beat a meat and pastry combo, can you? So good, hot or cold.

Let there be cake

Mmmm, cake. We’d argue that any cake is a good cake, but if push came to shove, what would you choose to eat for the Royal Wedding?

Victoria Sponge. Of course, it is! A right royal cake (named after Queen Victoria, no less) for a very royal occasion. Jam and cream sandwiched between two light and airy sponge cakes. It’s a classic, and no wonder 56% of you voted for this.

Tune in to the big event

Right, you’ve got the picnic hamper packed (with sausage rolls), the drinks (tea) flasked up, and enough (Victoria Sponge) cake to last until dusk. But where will you be tuning into the wedding from?

The perfect place. Most of you – 81% – will be tuning in from the comfort of your own home, which means you’ll probably have the telly on. However, for those venturing out of the house you’ll be able to stream the Royal Wedding wherever you are with our most reliable network ever, confident you’ll not miss the big “I do” moment. Remember, the hour-long ceremony begins at midday, so set your reminders on your phones, now.
