Introducing the P20

Specs at a glance

• 5.8-inch Fullview display
• Lecia rear Dual Camera powered by AI
• 24MP front-facing Selfie Camera with Portrait Lighting Effect
• 4GB RAM and 128GB Flash storage
• Huawei Kirin 970 processor
• 3400mAh battery with Huawei Supercharge

Fans of the Gram will not be disappointed with the camera set-up here. The Huawei P20 features a 24MP selfie camera, alongside a Portrait Lighting Effect for profile pics that pop. And, in a continued partnership with premium photography brand Lecia, a dual camera at the rear lets you capture all the action.

Like the P10 before it, this rear camera arrangement features one 20-megapixel monochrome sensor and one 12-megapixel colour sensor that work together to enable 2x hybrid zoom. Photography modes include Ultra Action Snapshot, 32x Slow Motion and even Handheld Super Night Mode all powered by artificial intelligence (AI), so you can capture amazing footage in virtually any setting.

As with the majority of new phones hitting the shelves this year, bezels are kept to a minimum. And Huawei has opted for a notch-style approach to house the front-facing camera across all three P20 models.

That means more room for the 5.8-inch Fullview display, so you can see more of the content you love in crystal clear 2244×1080 pixel resolution. You’ll also find the fingerprint scanner on the front of the P20 and P20 Pro. While Huawei’s smart touch Knuckle Sense capability allows you to take screenshots, switch between apps, and more using just your knuckle.

But how does it look? Well, see for yourself. The premium metal and glass design make for a slick looking smartphone. Just keep it clear of sticky fingers.

And, with Huawei’s Kirin 970 processor running the show, you can expect an even longer battery life (the battery should last you all day, or give you 5 hours of always on screen time) and faster AI action.

Meet the new P20 Pro

Specs at a glance

• 6.1-inch OLED display
• Lecia rear Triple Camera powered by AI
• 24MP front-facing Selfie Camera with Portrait Lighting Effect
• 5x hybrid zoom
• 6GB RAM and 128GB Flash storage
• Huawei Kirin 970 processor
• 4000mAh battery
• IP67 water and dust resistant

The Huawei P20 Pro was the shining star of Huawei’s big launch event in Paris. And it’s not hard to see why.

Featuring not two, but three rear lenses co-engineered with Lecia – the first smartphone in the world to do so – the Huawei P20 Pro aims to redefine smartphone photography, with higher image quality and greater zoom than ever before. How? By combining a whopping 40MP f1.8 colour lens with a 20MP f1.6 monochrome lens and another 8MP f.4 aperture colour lens.

This three-camera combo enables an incredible 5x hybrid zoom without any loss in image quality. And it comes with Ultra Action Snapshot, 32x Slow Motion, and Handheld Super Night Mode all powered by AI.

The Huawei P20 Pro three-camera combo enables an incredible 5x hybrid zoom without any loss in image quality.

Add to all this the excellent front-facing 24MP Selfie Camera with Portrait Lighting Effect for stellar selfies, and there’s absolutely no doubt the P20 Pro has been designed and built for picture perfection every time.

With cameras packing that much punch, you need plenty of storage, battery and processing power to match. Huawei’s thought of that as well. Powered by Huawei’s own 970 Kirin Processor, the P20 Pro also features a 4000mAh battery and 128GB of storage as standard. And, a dust and water resistant rating of IP67 means it’s ready for whatever life may throw at you (within reason, of course).

Like the P20, the P20 Prom is a gorgeous mix of metal and glass, with minimal bezels and a front-facing fingerprint scanner – looking every bit the flagship. You’ll be the envy of all your friends with this in-hand, and designated photographer at any and all gatherings.

The slim and trim P20 lite

Specs at a glance

• 5.84-inch FHD display
• 16MP front and rear camera
• 4GB RAM and 64GB Flash storage
• Huawei Kirin 659 processor
• 3000mAh battery with Huawei Supercharge
• Real time Face Unlock

The smallest and lightest in the P20 series at around 145g (that’s about as heavy as a baseball), the P20 lite is perfect for anyone seeking a similarly slick look and feel, without the price tag of the P20 Pro. However, with 16MP cameras front and rear, you’ll still be looking pretty sharp.

Featuring the flagship aerospace aluminium with a polished diamond-cut edge, the P20 lite is a looker. But it’s set up slightly differently to the P20 and P20 Pro in that the fingerprint sensor is at the rear. This allows the screen to stretch almost the whole height of the phone for your viewing and browsing pleasure.
