On the hunt for some fresh sounds? Spotify's brand new Release Radar playlist has just what you're looking for, with every track tailored to you...
The team over at Spotify can never be accused of resting on their laurels. Discover Weekly, Party, Concerts and Running features may have all rolled out in the past year, but that doesn’t mean Spotify’s musical gurus have downed tools. In fact, the streaming giant is back again with something brand new and tailored to you: Release Radar.
So what is it? Well, with Discover Weekly having proved a huge hit with people looking to find fresh tracks with minimum effort, it’s clear that the tailored playlist model is a strong one. And that’s why Release Radar picks up where Discover Weekly leaves off.
It’s rolling out from today as another curated playlist in your collection, and every Friday it’ll update with two hours of top new releases from artists you follow and listen to, along with a hearty peppering of new material from people Spotify thinks you’ll love.
“Every Friday it’ll update with two hours of top new releases from artists you follow and listen to.”
Spotify’s Matt Ogle says: “With the huge amount of new music released every week, it can be difficult to keep up with the latest tracks. With Release Radar, we wanted to create the simplest way for you to find all the newly released music that matters the most to you, in one playlist.”
And, as with Discover Weekly, the more you listen, the smarter Release Radar will get.
We’ll be speaking to the team behind Release Radar soon to find out how it all works – so stay tuned. In the meantime? Keep your eyes peeled and honed on your Spotify Playlist collection, and wait for your weekly dose of brand new tunes to arrive.
