Music fans should mark 13 May in your calendars for the release of ‘Cloud Nine’, the new album from Norwegian producer Kygo. Since his breakthrough two years ago, 24-year-old Kygo has only gone from strength to strength – becoming one of Spotify’s most popular artists in the process – and producing music with the likes of Labrinth and Kodaline, as well as up and coming artists like Will Heard and Ella Henderson. Check out the latest single, ‘Raging’, right below!

Elsewhere, there are big pop releases on the horizon, with Ariana Grande’s third album – ‘Dangerous Woman’ – arriving on 20 May, and Meghan Trainor releasing her new record ‘Thank You’ a week earlier on 13 May. Plus, if you’re after more of a throwback, American songstress Cyndi Lauper is also dropping a new album! Jump onto Spotify on 2 May to listen to ‘Detour’, or check below for her latest single, ‘Walkin’ After Midnight’.

Have you had a look at Spotify Concerts yet? The Swedish streaming giant has teamed up with Songkick to keep you informed on all the latest gigs from your favourite artists. Not only that, but Concerts will suggest live gigs nearby with artists that it thinks you’ll like based on your music tastes! Head over to the ‘Browse’ tab and click on ‘Concerts’ to take a look, and be sure to check out our interview with Jordan Gremli, as he explains what makes the tech behind the Concerts experience so special.

Sky-Sports

Sky Sports Mobile TV

The Premier League is coming down to the wire as we go into the last month of the season, with Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur battling it out for the title. Both clubs are in action on Sky Sports throughout the month too – Leicester take on Manchester United on 1 May, with Spurs going to Chelsea the day after – but there’s also the small matter of Manchester City vs. Arsenal on 8 May, and Chelsea vs. Liverpool a few days later on 11 May!

And that’s not to mention the drama of Football League Playoffs, which is all live and exclusive on Sky Sports. Tune in from 28-30 May to see the League Two, League One and Championship Playoff finals.

There’s plenty of action elsewhere, too. England’s cricketers have two tests to play against Sri Lanka before the Tri-Series tournament in June, with the first starting on 19 May. Still not enough sport for you? You can get Sky Sports 3, 4, 5 and F1 channels for just an extra £5 a month – click here to find out more!

Netflix

Netflix is home to a massive catalogue of quality TV shows and movies, making it perfect for TV fanatics. Even more importantly, it’s the only place you can watch Netflix originals – a collection of award-winning shows that includes the likes of House of Cards and Orange is the New Black, as well as Netflix’s Marvel tie-ins like Marvel’s Daredevil and Marvel’s Jessica Jones.

May is a huge month for Netflix with loads of new shows arriving on the service. Light-hearted comedy drama Grace and Frankie returns for a second season on 6 May, and a new mockumentary – ‘Lady Dynamite’ – premieres on 20 May, following the life of comedian and actress Maria Bamford.

And perhaps the best news of all comes in the form of Bloodline season two, which arrives at the end of the month! Season one was incredibly well-received – go and watch it if you haven’t already – and starred Ben Mendelsohn as Danny Rayburn, the prodigal son of a Florida Keys family, whose return causes trouble amongst his parents and siblings. Dark, moody and suspenseful, Bloodline was one of last year’s biggest surprise packages, so tune in on 27 May and don’t miss out on the next chapter.
