If you’re anything like us, you’ll have been struggling to sate your unquenchable desire for all things Game of Thrones. Thankfully, there’s plenty out there to douse the flames. Tired of carrying George R. R. Martin’s big, bulky books on your commute? Audible should be your first port of call then – the audiobook service has books 1-5 of A Song of Ice and Fire, all you have to do is download them and put your headphones in. As an added bonus, there’s a load of Martin’s previous works on Audible too, so you won’t find yourself short of listening material any time soon.

There are loads of brilliant Game of Thrones podcasts out there, catering for every sort of Thronie there is. Big fan of the TV show, but that’s about it? No problem – check out A Cast of Kings or Cast of Thrones for entertaining and casual chat around the plots and themes of HBO’s spectacular show. If you’re an avid reader of George R. R. Martin’s books too, we’d recommend A Podcast of Ice and Fire, and History of Westeros too, for some in-depth discussion.

Ramin Djawadi’s soaring soundtrack has been a wonderful accompaniment to HBO’s hit show, but listen to the music in isolation from the visuals and Djawadi’s work becomes even more powerful. Whilst the majority is typically medieval and orchestral, it also features cameos from the likes of indie rockers The National, Sigur Ros and Snow Patrol’s Gary Lightbody. And it’s all available on Spotify, right now.

A NOW TV Entertainment Pass gives you unfettered mobile access to Sky Atlantic – the only way to watch Game of Thrones season 6 in the UK. But wait: do you need to refresh your memory before you get stuck into the latest season? NOW TV has seasons 1-5 ready and waiting for you to stream at your leisure. And best of all, you can get a NOW TV Entertainment pass at no extra cost* when you pick up one of our Red Value 4G Bundles. Click here to find out more!

The books might be a bit much to lug around with you on your travels, but there’s nothing stopping you from reading them on your smartphone or e-Reader. Books 1-5 are available to download in full from Google Play or iTunes respectively, and such is the popularity of George R. R. Martin’s series, there are versions available for every e-Reader out there, from Kindle to Kobo.

Elstoo’s excellent Chrome Plug-in protects you from any potential spoilers by picking out any posts on Facebook and Twitter and banishing the offending post to the Red Waste. You can still click on the blacked out text to reveal it if you wish, but now you can surf your social media without fear of anything being ruined. Plus, it’ll even do the same on Reddit, unless you’re already in a Game of Thrones subreddit like r/asoiaf or r/GameOfThrones.

Official app
The official Game of Thrones app – George R. R. Martin’s A World of Ice and Fire – is what every official app should aspire to be. It’s easy to forget small details of Martin’s expansive universe sometimes, but the app is a definitive companion, complete with over 600 in-depth character bios as well as details for locations, religions, and more… And even an interactive world map. The best bit? Just tell the app where you’re up to in the TV show or books, and it’ll automatically filter out any spoiler content. Genius.

Game of Thrones by Telltale Games
Telltale Games are masters of interactive storytelling, and this video game adaptation of Game of Thrones is testament to that. The story takes place concurrently with the show – from the end of the third to the start of the fifth season – and traces a brand new story arc involving House Forrester, who are caught in the middle of the war for the Iron Throne after the infamous Red Wedding. HBO’s cast even lend their voices to their respective characters, making the whole thing a deeply involving experience.
