4g content partners 2014

With the mince pies scoffed and the festivities drawing to a close, it’s time to look to the New Year stretching out ahead of us. At Vodafone Social, that means looking at what’s coming up over the next month for each of our 4G entertainment partners*.

Every month we give you a quick look at the latest happenings on Sky Sports Mobile TV, Spotify Premium and Now TV Entertainment. Why? To help newcomers make a decision on which entertainment pack to choose when signing up to Vodafone 4G, and to help anyone already enjoying theirs to squeeze the most out of that bonus content. Read on for a look ahead at January 2015…

Sky Sports Mobile TV

sky sports tv icon thumbIt might be painfully cold on the pitch, but January’s always a great month for football. There are eleven big, live and exclusive clashes on Sky Sports this month, five of which are from the Barclays Premier League. The action kicks off on New Year’s Day, letting you nurse your hangover to the tune of Stoke City vs Man Utd. Other big fixtures throughout the month include Arsenal v Stoke City, Man City v Arsenal and Chelsea v Man City.

If you prefer your footballs to be a bit longer and flatter, we’ve got good news: you can also catch the NFL play-offs exclusively on Sky Sports on 18 January.

There’ll be five, yet to be decided, games from the European Rugby Champions Cup in January too, all exclusive to Sky Sports, while the World Darts Championship continues throughout the month. All in all, it’s looking like a cracking month for sports fans, and if you choose Sky Sports Mobile TV as your 4G entertainment pack you’ll be able to watch everything listed above on your phone or tablet wherever you have a data signal.

Spotify Premium

And for music fans that can only mean one thing: it’s time to get out there and dust off the high-tempo, high-energy workout playlists! Luckily, Spotify’s more than got you covered.

Among the many Spotify-made gym soundtracks on offer in the Browse section, there are hundreds of user-made ones to dig up and feel the burn to. To get you started, here are Spotify’s top three picks for New Year gym bunnies:

1. Cardio
2. Power Workout
3. Will to Win

NOW TV Entertainment

now tv icon thumbWith the cold wintry weather here for a few more months yet, now’s the perfect time to get cosy and snuggle up at home with great shows, so it’s a good thing that NOW TV Entertainment sits on our roster of 4G entertainment packs as well. It boasts a huge catalogue of top TV shows and Box Sets, as well as the ability to tune into what’s on live on a collection of the best paid-for TV channels in the UK. So what’s on offer in January?

There’s way too much on offer to run through here, but we’ve got a few top picks for anyone looking to get stuck into a new Box Set. First off, crime and murder mystery fans absolutely have to check out the stunningly produced True Detective, starring acting juggernauts Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. The whole season is available to stream from 12 December (available until 11 March), and it’s a definite must-watch.

Sci-Fi fans are well catered for on NOW TV Entertainment, too, but our pick for this month is The Walking Dead, with Seasons 1-5(a) available to stream from 1 January (available until 1 March). That’s a lot of watching – are you up for the challenge? Or do you fancy something lighter? See David Attenborough’s Conquest of the Skies, a three-part series exploring 350 years of animal flight available Live and on Catch Up from the 1 January. Or you might like to try Fortitude, the new, must-see crime thriller of 2015, only on Sky Atlantic this January.
