Having difficulty choosing your Vodafone 4G content partner? Take a look at what's coming up this month on Spotify, Sky Sports and Now TV to help you make your decision...

4g content partners 2014

Thinking of signing up to Vodafone 4G? As well as double the monthly data of our 3G plans and access to our ultrafast 4G network, when you sign up for a Red 4G plan with Vodafone you’ll get to choose Spotify Premium, Sky Sports Mobile TV or NOW TV Entertainment, included as part of your plan at no extra cost.* And to help you make that choice, we take some time each month to round up what’s coming up from each service.

As we enter the last month of the year, there’s only one thing on our minds: the Christmas holidays and all the festivities that go along with it. Each of our content partners has entertainment to match the season, and we’ve rounded up the very best below…

Sports fans have got a busy December to look forward to on Sky Sports Mobile TV, which lets you stream all the action from Sky Sports 1 and 2 straight to your phone or tablet wherever you receive a data signal*, or over WiFi. So what’s coming up? There’s a whole host of live and exclusive matches from the world of football, rugby, cricket and darts…

There are 15 games in the Barclays Premier League that you can catch on Sky Sports this December, including Man City vs Everton, Man Utd vs Liverpool and the Boxing Day London Derby between Chelsea and West Ham. There’s also a wealth of live and exclusive football from the Sky Bet Football league, the Capital One Cup, and Chelsea vs Sporting Lisbon in the UEFA Champions League.

If football’s not your bag, fret not: there’s plenty more the Sky Sports Christmas stocking. There are five exclusive rugby matches from the European Rugby Champion Cup for starters, including Saracens vs Sale Sharks and Wasps vs Castres. You can tune in to the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th England vs Sri Lanka ODI cricket matches throughout the month too, while the Live World Darts Championship takes flight on 18 December.

Feeling festive? Spotify’s got the soundtrack to your Christmas sorted. Whether your family likes to roast chestnuts to a bit of Bing Crosby or unwrap presents to a medley of Mariah Carey, there are artists, tracks and playlists to make the big day perfect – whether it snows or not. Here are Spotify’s top three festive playlists:

1. Pop Christmas
2. Jazzy Christmas
3. Christmas Magic

The 30+ million tracks on Spotify is a good reason to love the music streaming service, but another is the fact that having a Spotify Premium membership gives you access to an ever expanding list of cool extra features. In the last month Spotify has launched two new little bonuses – one for when you’re out and about, and one for when you’re listening at home.

The first is Spotify Connect, which lets you use your phone or tablet as a remote when you’re listening to Spotify on your computer. That’s great for anyone with a good sound system hooked up to their home PC or Mac, and it’s really easy to set up:

1. Make sure you’ve got the latest version of Spotify on both your computer and your phone/tablet.
2. Log in to Spotify on your phone/tablet, and play any song.
3. Tap the Now Playing bar, and hit the Connect icon.
4. Select your computer from the list, and let the music flow.

Choose NOW TV as your 4G entertainment pack and you’ll unlock a huge catalogue of new TV shows and exclusive box sets from the UK’s best paid-for TV channels, and some of the biggest studios in the world like HBO and FOX.

So what kinds of things can you watch? Well, with the weather taking a turn for the worse and the prospect of some well-earned time off work looming at the end of December, there’s no better time of year to get stuck into a good box set. And there are plenty on offer.

If you missed the hype first time round, you can get lost in seasons 1-8 of 24, starring Kiefer Sutherland, for example, or suit up for seasons 1-7(a) of Mad Men before next year’s finale. And, if you need to fill the void between now and season 5 of Game of Thrones but can’t tear yourself away from Westeros, you can relive all of season 1 On Demand wherever you go.

Take the opportunity to settle in and watch Scandal season 1-3 before season 4 starts in January, or why not opt for the equally lauded The West Wing, every season of which will be available to stream on NOW TV all the way until 2017.
