It's a busy month in the world of Vodafone 4G Entertainment. But don't panic! We're here to guide you through the best in April's #4GSport and #4GMusic.
It’s that time again. At the end of every month we take a look at some of the highlights destined for our 4G content partners – Sky Sports Mobile TV and Spotify – over the coming 30 days.
March is drawing to a close and the weather’s getting better and better, but the great thing about both our 4G entertainment options is that you don’t need to stay indoors to enjoy your bundled content. You can stream Spotify tracks straight to your phone in the park or catch the biggest matches while you’re on the go. Read on for all the coming month’s #4GSport and #4GMusic highlights.
With 1 April just around the corner, you’d be a fool not to…
Sky Sports Mobile TV
Football fans are in for a bonanza in April, with 17 Barclays Premier League games available to stream live on Sky Sports 1 and 2. Highlights include Liverpool v Manchester City (13 April), Everton v Manchester United (20 April) and Liverpool v Chelsea (27 April). That’s aside from April’s four live UEFA Champions League games, which make up the two legs of both the Quarter and Semi-finals.
In golf, there’s a long weekend of action from the PGA Tour as The Masters tees off on 10 April, with all four days live only on Sky Sports.
The cricket ICC World T20, meanwhile, will blast through both the Semi-finals and the Final in April, all on Sky Sports, and available to stream to your phone.
We all know what 1 April means. Whether you love or loathe it, April Fools’ Day is about to try and catch you off guard. But instead of treading with dread, why not embrace the laughs? This month, we’re taking a slightly different tact to our usual playlist roundups. You may not know this, but among the millions of tracks on Spotify there’s also a host of audio comedy from some of the world’s best and brightest stand-ups, and a bunch of comedy songs.
If you get fooled on April 1st, don’t sweat it: just chortle along with Spotify’s playlist below:

This month’s Spotify app is Guilty Pledgers, a fantastic new tool that helps you to organise a house party and raise money for a worthy cause all at the same time. Working with JustGiving (the company behind Vodafone’s JustTextGiving service), Guilty Pledgers allows you to create a party playlist that your friends and family can add cheesy tunes to, if they pay a small charity donation for the pleasure of hearing that track.
All they need to do is go to your Guilty Pledgers page on their phone, pick their tune of choice and make a donation. You can get your fundraising party shindig started here.
All of our Vodafone Red 4G plans, including our brand new Red XXL plan, come with the choice of either Sky Sports Mobile TV or Spotify Premium membership for up to two years, so there’s plenty to use that ultrafast connection on. Click here for the full lowdown on our Red 4G plans.
