With all that entertainment ready to stream straight to your phone you’re going to be spoilt for choice, which is why we’ve decided to pick out some highlights from both.

Here’s what’s coming in December, and how 4G entertainment help can get you in the festive mood.

Sky Sports Mobile TV

skysportsthumbThere’s another huge lineup of sporting action this month on Sky Sports Mobile TV, and it’s available to watch right on your phone. #4GSport highlights for the month include test matches two, three and four from the winter Ashes series.

That includes the classic Boxing Day test in Melbourne.

The football schedule is equally stacked in December. There will be 17 live Barclays Premier League matches throughout the month, alongside a raft of games from the UEFA Champions League with the competition heating up in December as 32 teams get whittled down to just 16.

And as for the big festive games? How about Tottenham v Liverpool, Arsenal v Chelsea and Hull City v Manchester United for starters?

And that’s on top of Heineken Cup rugby, three golf tournaments and the World Darts Championships – busy times indeed.

spotifymainthumbOpted for #4GMusic? No doubt you’ll soon start thinking about compiling you Christmas playlists for the 25 December. And with over 20 million songs to choose from, there’s bound to be something for everyone to sing along to on the day. Not sure where to start? No worries: we’ve spoken to Spotify for some help.

Here’s a playlist of festive treats based on what everyone was listening to this time last year:

The ten most played songs on Christmas Day 2012

To create your perfect Christmas Day playlist, just right click any track and add it to one of your choosing. If you’re on mobile, bring up the song’s menu as it’s playing by pressing on the album artwork, and press ‘Add to…’. Oh, and make sure you let us know your favourites in the comments section below.

Need more inspiration? Having a Spotify account means you can access all your music on your Mac or PC, which means that you can access a whole new world of music experiences by exploring the apps that live within Spotify’s desktop version. These apps let you learn the lyrics to your favourite songs, read music reviews and biographies, book gig tickets or just discover new music.

Our app pick for this month is Pitchfork – the well-established indie review site which has an app on Spotify. Pitchfork’s tastes tend to be about surfacing new or undiscovered artists, rather than superstar pop smashes. Their reviews tend to err on the side of pithy and their expert reviewers can be hard-to-impress, but that means that when Pitchfork picks a winner you know it’s going to be good.
