When you work hard on something, it’s always nice when people sit up and take notice. We put a lot of hours into making sure that vodafone.co.uk is the best it can be – whether you’re looking for your next phone, getting help with your current one, or just need some advice – and it looks like that hard work seems to have paid off. How so? We’ve just picked up two gongs in the coveted Website of the Year awards.
The Website of the Year awards is the biggest online prize ceremony in Europe. It’s been held every year for a decade in the UK, and each ceremony looks to showcase and reward the very forefront of website design, navigation and online content from a huge collection of categories.
Each category has its winner chosen by public vote, and this year’s awards garnered an enormous 88,000 votes from British web fans.
The categories represent sites in different fields, like Dating, Communities & Social network, Food & Beverage and Telecommunications, and it’s in the latter that we managed to grab not one, but two awards.
vodafone.co.uk won Best Telecoms Website and Most Popular Telecoms Website this year, beating O2, T-Mobile, EE, Orange and 6 other entrants from the UK for the second year running. It’s a testament to our commitment to bringing the best in both customer care and self-service to the web, so we couldn’t be more thrilled.
