We’ve packed our 4G-ready plans with unlimited calls and texts, loads of data and some great entertainment to boot – not to mention access to our ultrafast 4G network now that it’s started to roll out across the UK.

But what else does our 4G network give you? Well, the ability to share the fruits of your creative brilliance captured on some of the best ever smartphone cameras for starters. And we’ve just added some terrific new devices to our line up. The Sony Xperia Z1, Nokia Lumia 1020 and optical-zoom packing Samsung GALAXY S4 Zoom are all heading your way – and they’re all 4G-ready. Read on for more details…

The next step in photography

Z1

The Sony Xperia Z1 is a turbo-charged Android smartphone that can power through apps and games thanks to its blazingly fast 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, and it won’t let you down in any conditions – like its predecessor, the Xperia Z, it’s water-resistant up to a metre under – but it’s the camera that will get shutterbugs excited. Sony’s fitted a large 20.7 megapixel sensor inside the Z1, with a 27mm wide-angle lens with an f2.0 aperture for great shots even in low light.

It’s available now in black or white with no upfront costs on £47, 24 month Red 4G-ready plans. For more details, visit our online shop.

Lumia1020-voda

The Windows Phone powered Nokia Lumia 1020 is also available to buy now, complete with a 4.5-inch HD display and its ace in the hole: a truly spectacular 41 megapixel PureView sensor behind a top of the line Carl Zeiss lens.

While more megapixels don’t always mean better pictures, Nokia’s used them to pull off a unique trick: the 1020 shrinks the final results to around five megapixels, using the data from the surrounding discarded pixels to make the final image much more accurate. The result are stunning images, and a fantastic digital zoom mode.

Somehow, Nokia’s managed to squeeze this all into a polycarbonate shell (you can choose from either yellow or black) that’s just 10.4mm thick.

It’s available now with no upfront costs on £47, 24 month Red 4G-ready plans. For more details, go here.

We’re gonna need a bigger zoom

S4zoom

If you’re a serious snapper who needs more options than a digital zoom can provide, the Samsung GALAXY S4 Zoom camera phone has you covered.

It’s just one of a few smartphones in the world to pack a 10x optical zoom just like a dedicated point and shoot camera, so you can swoop in to make full use of all 16 megapixels available to you. And because it runs Android, you can fire these off to Instagram, Facebook or wherever you like when you’re done – and make calls, of course. Compacts have nothing on this.

It’s available now with no upfront costs on £42, 24 month Red-4G-ready plans. For more details, go here.

4G: The essential companion to any camera phone

Camera quality matters, but so does the ability to share your pics with the people you love. It’s easy to share your pictures with everyone on Android and Windows Phone, and it’s even easier with Vodafone’s new 4G network, which makes fast work of even 20 megapixel uploads.

All three phones are 4G-ready and able to jump on the new network in London right now, and we’re rolling that network out to 12 other cities by the end of 2013, too.

Itchy trigger finger already? The Sony Xperia Z1 and Nokia Lumia 1020 and Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom are available now. Check out our shop for more details at http://www.vodafone.co.uk.
