The next in our series of homegrown tablets is here! The Vodafone Smart Tab III is a 7-inch beauty that keeps the price tag low and the spec sheet high. Read on for all the info...
Big screen mobile devices are hot right now; phones screens are bigger than ever before and the use of tablets is growing all the time. Why? Because people love a big screen to enjoy gaming, watching TV, catching up on work, etc. Everything is made easier on a larger screen.
Our product development team has been beavering away in the background to create the next generation of Vodafone tablet with two things in mind: make it more powerful and keep it affordable. And what have they come up with? Introducing the Vodafone Smart Tab III…
Following on from the success of last year’s Vodafone Smart Tab II, our team has returned to the drawing board and come back with a tablet that’s better in almost every way. And that’s while keeping the price low enough to make it an ideal first tablet for anyone.
Underneath the Smart Tab III’s shiny 7-inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display sits a wealth of upgraded tech. The processor is a Quad-core 1.2GHz number backed up by 1GB of RAM, which means it’s got more than enough oomph to keep apps, games web pages, music and video all ticking along smoothly.
How Huawei’s leading the big battery charge
If screen sizes are getting bigger, shouldn’t batteries get smarter?

Keeping hold of all that content won’t be a problem either, since the Vodafone Smart Tab III comes with a spacious 16GB of storage out of the box, which you can bolster with the help of an SD card slot. Those go up to 64GB, which is enough for 16,000 songs or around 50 movies.
All that tasty media’s worth nothing if it’s not all at your fingertips, though, which is where Android comes in. The Vodafone Smart Tab III runs on Google’s Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) operating system, which is built for performance and speed, and is really easy to customise.

The rear camera’s also been upgraded from the Smart Tab II; it’s now a 5-Megapixel beauty, while a VGA front-facing webcam lets you make video calls through apps like Skype. And the battery? It’s a hugely capable 3500mAh, which will help the Smart Tab III power through whatever you throw at it.
Now for the best bit: All of the above is available in one slick, 11mm thick package from just £19 upfront and £30 a month on 24 month plans, including 10GB of data. If that combination of power and price sounds good, you can order your Vodafone Smart Tab III now at vodafone.co.uk – a Pay As You Go option is coming soon.
